Open Classroom Initiative for Course Instructors: Transdisciplinary & AI-Enhanced Teaching Focus The Open Classroom Initiative (OCI) in Semester 2 of 2024-25 focuses on transdisciplinary teaching and AI-assisted instruction, offering an opportunity to observe and learn from colleagues who are successfully incorporating these innovative approaches in their teaching practice. Through peer observation, teaching staff can share their experiences with AI-assisted instruction, cross-disciplinary collaborations, or both, and learn from colleagues successfully incorporating these practices in their classrooms.

To promote innovation in talent cultivation empowered by artificial intelligence and accelerate the development of a new ecosystem for higher education talent cultivation that is data-driven, human-machine integrated, and cross-border open, it has been decided to launch the Guangdong Province Undergraduate Universities Artificial Intelligence Empowerment for Teaching Capability Enhancement Program.
Event content: The event will focus on topics such as AI + professional education, the application of large models and intelligent teaching tools, artificial intelligence theory research and practice. Renowned educators, experts in the field of artificial intelligence, and representatives from well-known tech companies will be invited to give special lectures, and hands-on practice will be conducted in the form of workshops.

From February to July 2025, teachers can participate in themed online training and review award-winning case studies via the “Dual Integration & Innovation Community” platform. The platform offers cross-disciplinary resources, course analysis, and teaching tools for self-paced learning. After completing courses and passing assessments, credits will be automatically recorded on the provincial platform. Teachers can verify credits via the “Continuing Education Service Platform” without manual application.
