It has driven concerns about a new wave of AI-enabled cheating and questions about the sustainability and authenticity of current assessment practices. This presentation explores how assessment needs to change in the age of AI. It draws upon the presenter's work as one of the leaders of the significant Australian project Assessment reform for a time of artificial intelligence, which the Australian higher education regulator funded. The presentation's primary focus is resolving the tension between preparing students for a world permeated by AI and ensuring the integrity and security of assessment. |
