Abstract: This workshop gives an inside perspective on the review process that takes place after you have submitted your academic paper to a journal. What is a good and bad journal? What does an editor look for? How are the reviewers selected? Why does the process take so long? Does rejection mean my paper is no good? Should I resubmit elsewhere? How minor are minor revisions? How major are major revisions? Can I disagree with a reviewer’s comments? If you have ever asked yourself questions like this, this workshop is for you. The workshop will draw upon Professor Corbett’s experience as a journal editor, and use case studies of articles before and after the review process.
