Staff Mentoring Program Workshops , Sem 2 of 2024-2025

SMP aims to provide mentoring relationships for new faculty members at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor levels, fostering professional development during their first year at UIC. This program offers a unique opportunity for both mentors and mentees to build meaningful relationships, share experiences, and enhance their professional growth.

We are excited to host three Staff Mentoring Workshops during lunchtime this semester.Light Lunch will be provided.

Call for Applications of the New Teacher Track of the 5th Guangdong Innovative Teaching Contest in Higher Education

Following the successful conclusion of our university-level Innovative Teaching Contest, we are excited to share that the Guangdong Association of Higher Education has recently released the announcement for the 5th Guangdong Innovative Teaching Contest in Higher Education. Notably, a new track, the New Teacher Track, has been introduced for this edition.
Given this development, we are seeking one full-time teacher who joined UIC after January 1, 2023, from each faculty to participate in this new track. The key details and requirements for the New Teacher Track could be found by clicking the link below. Candidates will be selected through an internal review before being recommended to the provincial contest. Detailed information and further instructions are provided in Chinese.

Advance HE Fellowship Interest and Readiness Survey

This survey assesses the interest and readiness of all UIC staff who currently hold or are interested in applying for the Advance HE Fellowship, which honors higher education professionals with exceptional teaching, leadership, and industry contributions. Responses will help determine eligibility and tailor support, and your insights are greatly valued. Please answer the questions to the best of your ability before March 12.

To express our appreciation, we will randomly select 10 participants to receive a gift! The lucky participants will be notified via the official CTL email.

Notice on the Training Workshop for Enhancing Teaching Competency in Curriculum Ideology and Politics for University

本次培训会旨在针对高校教师在课程思政建设与教学中遇到的实际问题和需求,帮助文、理、工、医不同学科专业教师在公共基础课程、专业教育课程、实践类课程等各类课程建设中落实课程思政要求,全面推进课程思政高质量建设。
The training aims to address the practical problems and needs faced by university teachers in the Curriculum of Ideology and Politics. It aims to assist teachers from various disciplines, including humanities, sciences, engineering, and medicine, in implementing ideological requirements in public basic courses, professional education courses, and practical courses, thereby advancing the high-quality development of the construction of Curriculum of Ideology and Politics comprehensively.


Training content includes:
1. Analysis of teaching and evaluation standards for Curriculum of Ideology and Politics;
2. Artificial intelligence empowerment in the construction of Curriculum of Ideology and Politics;
3. Construction of exemplary majors and teams in the Curriculum of Ideology and Politics;
4. ultivation of teaching achievements in the Curriculum of Ideology and Politics;
5. esign and implementation of teaching and classroom instruction in Curriculum of Ideology and Politics;
6. haring of excellent teaching cases in the Curriculum of Ideology and Politics.
