Celebrating Student Achievements: Publication Event of 'The Lychee Quarterly' and the First UIC Newsgame

Date&Time: 14:00-16:00, 24 December 2024 (Tue)
Organizers: DCOM and CTL
Venue: T2-301

Abstract: We are thrilled to announce a special event to celebrate our students' exceptional achievements this Christmas Eve. We will be showcasing the beautiful 'The Lychee Quarterly' and the first-ever UIC Newsgame, products of our students' creativity and hard work!

In the Newsgame: Freshman Issues, students have constructed a virtual campus, offering guests a unique experience into the UIC meta world - the students have built a virtual campus in the game. This game, while simple, promises to be engaging and enjoyable.

To acknowledge the students' hard work and express thankfulness to the project participants/helpers/sponsors, MCOM Reporting Lab is organising a special publication event.

This event is open to all UIC staffs and students. As a token of our appreciation, all guest participants will receive a print copy of the 16-page Lychee newspaper and will be granted access to the UIC virtual campus.

Join us in celebrating the creativity, innovation, and hard work of our students. We look forward to seeing you there!
