AI Empowers Education 4 | Computable Doc Intro: A Hands-on Guide To Keepwork Platform

Abstract: Computable Doc is a cutting-edge, markdown and web-based document format that is readable by both humans and AI. Users can add various computable modules to the document, allowing them to edit and run various codes directly within the web page. Web assembly technology is used to enable various computable modules such as VR simulation, Python, C/C++, CAD, and large language models to run directly within the document.

Keepwork is dedicated to becoming the next-generation platform for creating computable documents. Whether it's digital textbooks, document websites, or personal works, everyone can become a developer of interactive digital content. In the age of AI, we encourage students and teachers to digitize their personal works and knowledge-bases; by combining text with computable modules, they can publish their own digital resources and establish a digital self on the web.

Ms. Anna QIN will illustrate Design Thinking’s impact across disciplines through academic and commercial case studies, highlighting its role in bridging research, design, and real-world applications.
Dr. Kristen LI will facilitate a hands-on session on design thinking. Participants will collaboratively explore how to implement design thinking into student-centred class activity design and tailor it to various disciplines.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS | Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Education Joint Research Symposium

Conference Dates: 20 November (Wed) – 21 November, 2024 (Thur)
Abstract: The VCU Joint Research Symposium, "Educator and Educator Preparation in the Global Contexts," will be held virtually on November 20-21, 2024, focusing on linking research to practice in teacher education across cultures. The symposium aims to enhance cross-cultural communication and promote educators' cultural competency and humility. Participants are invited to submit proposals on themes including educator preparation and professional development, educator well-being and professional identity, educational technology and instructional design, and social justice in educational contexts. The symposium offers two presentation formats: a 30-minute individual paper presentation and a 10-minute abbreviated presentation, ideal for early-stage research.
