Induction Program Session 5 | Authentic Assessment and Generative AI

The Induction Program (IP) launched by CTL is developed for new teaching staff members, including teaching support staff. The aim of this Program is to help new colleagues get familiar with outcomes-based teaching and learning, strategies for digital learning and teaching, pedagogical knowledge, and teaching support at UIC.

Abstract:This workshop provides an overview of the generative AI principles and guidelines established at HKBU with an emphasis on how they can be used in teaching and learning, and assessment. The participants will be able to learn various ways of applying generative AI and other digital tools in designing TLAs and alternative forms of assessments. The session will also discuss the ethical implications and challenges of implementing generative AI in higher education.


All teaching staff are warmly welcome. Registration in advance is highly appreciated for our better preparation.
Certificate will be provided to new staff upon completion of the program.

Scenario Development Competition 2024: Raise students’ digital citizenship awareness

Submission Dedails: Submit two items, including one Scenario(Must use the PowerPoint template provided) and one Scenario Description(In word format).

Abstract: This competition is organised under the TDLEG-IICA Project – “Enhancing Learning and Teaching of Digital Citizenship through Scenario-based AR Learning Trails”, which aim to raise students’ digital citizenship awareness in their digital learning environment, and invite students to design a scenario based on the nine elements of a digital citizenship framework to be used in the “AR Trails” app.
