AI Empowers Education 2 | AIGC Empowering Higher Education: Practice and Application

Abstract:
AI-Generated Content (AIGC) refers to content created by artificial intelligence using advanced generative techniques.
This AIGC workshop will be conducted in three stages:
1. Tip engineering and prompt word construction.
2. Dialogue with AIGC.
3. Using AIGC to parse documents.
Educators can quickly understand the use of commonly used AIGC tools through this course. Valuable AIGC tool-generated content can be obtained by constructing high-quality prompt words, and AIGC tool-generated content can be used to assist teaching design. The workshop focuses on the real needs of educators and does not involve complex programming skills.

Induction Program

The Induction Program (IP) launched by CTL is developed for new teaching staff members, including teaching support staff. The aim of this Program is to help new colleagues get familiar with outcomes-based teaching and learning, strategies for digital learning and teaching, pedagogical knowledge, and teaching support at UIC.

CTL will host the 2024-2025 Induction Program workshops between 3-13 September 2024. All teaching staff are warmly welcome. Registration in advance is highly appreciated for our better preparation.

Certificate will be provided to new staff upon completion of the program.

The “Retreat for Sustainable Development in Higher Education” is a voluntary academic exchange and collaboration event that promotes close cooperation between universities through the Association of Sustainable Teacher Development in Universities. This event mainly includes in-depth discussions on core topics in the field of faculty development and on-site visits to innovative projects related to faculty development on campus. The aim is to assist higher education professionals in sharing innovative ideas for sustainable faculty development through close communication and on-site research, inspiring new approaches to sustainable faculty development, and jointly exploring more effective models for the sustainable development of university faculty.
