1. CTL Teaching and Learning Resources (UIC Staff Only)
As a resource hub, CTL develops an iSpace course “CTL Teaching and Learning Resources” where all UIC staff could enroll themselves and access to a wealth of T&L resources (including materials & resources from HKBU-CHTL). The attachment 1 is the instruction (4 steps) for your operation. If you have difficulties to find the resources, please contact Ms. Arie Jin at ctl@uic.edu.cn.
In addition to teaching staff, we realized that some administrative staff and students may benefit from CTL’s weekly announcement. To better serve all UIC colleagues and students, we provide an option to subscribe CTL Weekly. If you would like to opt-in to our mailing list, please subscribe through the MIS https://mis.uic.edu.cn/survey/login.jsp.

Abstract:
In this presentation, Prof. Li will first introduce the large background of university teaching innovation such as disruptive technology in education, post pandemic university environment, and university development. Then he will present some actual cases of action research projects of university teaching innovation with clear analysis of the difficulties and challenges in the action process and strategies to tack them. By closing, he will propose some suggestions and policy advice on facilitating positive changes in university classroom teaching. The research methodology that he will present is action research.

Note:
All teaching and teaching support colleagues are encouraged to apply for HEA fellowship. In partnership with Advance HE, UIC will sponsor 50% of the HEA Fellowship application fees as a subscribing institution and the CTL and HRO will jointly reimburse the other 50% for colleagues who are awarded the fellowship.
6. Open Classroom Initiative (Semester 1 of 2022-23) (UIC Teaching Staff only)

To promote teaching excellence at UIC, “Open Classroom Initiative” (OCI) is launched to provide colleagues a safe space to learn and develop innovative and technological pedagogical practices from the exemplary colleagues who have demonstrated teaching excellence in their courses. If you would like to observe the participating courses, please register and choose the available timeslot in advance. After receiving the registration, CTL will inform the course instructors and participants via email.
