As the spring semester concluded, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) in collaboration with Dr. Georgiy GREBNYEV from Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Emotional Intelligence Course Team from School of General Education, organized a refreshing "End-of-Term Tea" social gathering. This event, held on June 13th at the Old House Café (Nazhou Village Branch), aimed to provide a stress-relieving retreat for faculty members and foster camaraderie. Over forty academic staff members attended, enjoying a well-deserved break from academic pressures.
The event began with a warm welcome from the CTL team, including Dr. Vivien CHAN, Dr. Milen JISSOV, and Dr. Edith YAN. Dr. Georgiy GREBNYEV also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of emotional well-being and community support. Fortuitously blessed with fine weather, the outdoor mindful walking session took place in a natural setting. Ms. Mandy Hongman HUANG led the activity, guiding participants to engage in sensory exploration of the environment and practice present-moment awareness. This natural therapy proved to be a perfect way to de-stress and enhance mental clarity after a busy semester.
