2025年1月10日，北师港浸大（UIC）第五届教师教学创新大赛（简称本校赛）成功举办。本校赛由教师教学发展中心（CTL）主办，旨在深化高等教育教学改革，激发教师的教学热情和创新精神，推动高等教育持续高质量发展和教学水平的持续提升。大赛设置一等奖、二等奖、三等奖和优秀奖，部分获奖教师将代表学校参加即将举行的“广东省教师教学创新大赛”。

On January 10, 2025, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) successfully hosted the 5th Innovative Teaching Contest Organised by the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), the contest aims to deepen the reform of higher education and teaching, inspire educators’ enthusiasm and creativity, and promote the continuous advancement of teaching quality and excellence in higher education. The contest featured awards for first, second, and third prizes, as well as excellence awards. Selected winners will represent UIC in the upcoming 5th National and Guangdong Innovative Teaching Contest.

本次比赛吸引了来自不同学院、不同学科背景的8组教师及团队参与。通过赛程多领域、跨学科的交流和切磋，各个参赛教师或团队从教学创新成果报告、课堂教学实录和现场汇报表现三方面展示其教学内容的丰富性和方法的多样性，在彰显学科特性的同时也并重教学法的创新。大赛由我校教师教学发展中心副主任Milen Jissov博士主持，特别邀请华南理工大学新闻与传播学院储冬爱教授、UIC理工科技学院副院长邓宇辉教授、工商管理学院刘鲁川教授、人文社科学院林彩莅博士和教师教学发展中心主任陈惠云博士五位老师组成专业的评委小组，从多个维度对参赛教师及团队进行了公平缜密的评价和打分。

This year’s contest attracted eight teams of teachers and teams from various faculties and disciplines. Through multidisciplinary and cross-field collaboration, participants showcased their teaching achievements across three dimensions: innovative teaching reports, classroom teaching recordings, and live presentations. The diverse content and methods demonstrated by the competitors highlighted both subject-specific characteristics and innovative pedagogical approaches. The event was presided over by Dr. Milen Jissov, Associate Director of CTL, and judged by a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Chudong Ai from the School of Journalism and Communication at South China University of Technology, Professor Ivan Yuhui Deng, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIC, Professor Andy Luchuan Liu from the Faculty of Business and Management, Dr. Chally Chai Lee LIM from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Dr. Vivien Wai Wan Chan, Director of CTL. The judges conducted rigorous and impartial evaluations across multiple criteria.

  经过精彩的展示和激烈的角逐，评审组最终评选出一组教师团队荣获一等奖，两组教师及团队荣获二等奖，三组教师及团队获得三等奖和两组教师及团队获优秀奖。这不仅是对参赛教师创新教学成果与能力的认可，也激励了全校教师持续探索与实践，不断思考提升教学水平和创新能力的高效路径。

After a series of outstanding presentations and keen competition, one team was awarded first prize, two teams received second prizes, three teams were honoured with third prizes, and two teams won honourable mention. This contest not only recognises innovative teaching achievements and capabilities of the participating educators but also inspires all UIC teachers to continue exploring and practising effective teaching strategies to enhance their teaching standards and innovative capabilities.

The contest provided an invaluable platform for UIC educators to present their achievements and creativity in teaching practices. It fostered collaboration among teachers, encouraging them to learn from each other across disciplines. Additionally, it reinforced the importance of academic and educational commitment while further enhancing the quality of teaching and educational standards at UIC.
