AI Empowers Education 4: An Innovative Learning and Teaching Experiences through Computable Doc with Keepwork

On October 17, 2024, the fourth session of the AI Empowers Education series, titled "Computable Doc Intro: A Hands-on Guide to Keepwork Platform", took place online via Tencent Meeting from 12:30-13:30 with the warming host of Dr. Vivien Wai Wan Chan from the Centre of Teaching and Learning (CTL). Imparted by Mr. Xizhi LI, the founder of Neural Parallel Language (NPL) and Paracraft, also the CEO of Shenzhen Tatfook Network Technology, this lecture featured hands-on instructions on the utilization of Keepwork in educational background, attracting over 20 online participants.

During the one-hour online lecture, Mr. LI led the participants through the path of using Computable Doc with Keepwork, a platform where everyone is allowed to be the developer of interactive digital content, to propel practical teaching and learning experiences in an AI context. All the participants, both teachers and students, were introduced to the basic yet practical knowledge of the web-based document format—Computable Doc and thus, familiarised themselves with the techniques of digitizing their personal works and knowledge-bases through combining text with computable modules.

Hosted by the CTL, the lecture provided valuable insights into how AI can benefit both pedagogical practices for teachers and academic studies for students. It provides an innovative experience in the current teaching and learning methods, expanding the road of AI usage in education.
