As a new academic year begins, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is thrilled to announce the launch of its Induction Program (IP) for Semester 1, 2023-2024. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive orientation on teaching and learning relevant topics for all new teaching staff, including teaching support personnel, who are newly joining UIC. It is also open to all teaching staff, offering them an opportunity for their professional growth. The Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning (CHTL) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) generously supported the initiative, which marks the start of closer cooperation between UIC-CTL and HKBU-CHTL.
This time, the program places a strong emphasis on outcomes-based teaching and learning and strategies for digital education. The invaluable support and collaboration with the CHTL at HKBU are central to this program's success. This partnership not only strengthens our program's content but also manifests our shared vision for elevating educational standards.
