In the first two weeks of Semester 2, 2022-2023, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) newly introduced and organized the first Induction Program (IP) at UIC. Our new colleagues showed great interest in it, and there were 70 teaching/teaching staff in total participated.
The IP is specially designed for new teaching staff, including those of teaching support that joined UIC during the academic year 2022-2023, aiming to help them get involved into the teaching and learning environment of UIC. Following this primary objective, CTL organized four different workshops.
The first workshop of IP was on Brief Introduction and Tutorial on iSpace, presented by Ms. Suri Suyi LI (Senior IT Technician, ITSC) on 16 February, 2023, through which our new colleagues learned about not only major functions on iSpace-the UIC E-learning platform, but also information related to assistance-seeking when encountering technical issues.
