CTL Student Assistant Now Hiring

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) was founded in January 2021. CTL aims to provide institutional support for promoting excellence in teaching and learning at BNBU, motivating and supporting teaching staff to succeed in empowering students across diverse disciplines.

To date, we have organized around 60activities with over 3000 visits for teaching staff and students including:

  • Meal-with-Your-Professor Program

  • My Learning Journey Series

  • Innovative Teaching Contest

  • Teaching Contest for Young Teachers

  • Academic Writing Workshop

  • T&L Lectures and Sharings


Student Assistant (part-time) Recruitment

With the rapid development of CTL, we are currently seeking 2 undergraduate student assistants to support CTL’s daily operations.

You are welcome to join a highly motivated team to assist in coordinating, organizing, and promoting various activities.

Here, you will have many opportunities to meet distinguished scholars from inside and outside the campus, get your ideas applied (editing, organizing, and designing), have the privilege to join the centre events, learn state-of-the-art teaching practices, and more!

Benefits

After the successful completion of a semester, you will get

  • An internship completion certificate issued by CTL

  • Salary: CNY 20 per hour

  • Priority to be considered for summer intern positions.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Good bilingual communication skills (English and Chinese) and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word, PPT, website maintenance). Microsoft Office Professional (MOS) certification would be preferred.

  • Skills in operating social media or video production (e.g., websites, WeChat official accounts).

  • Good problem-solving skills, being detailed-oriented at work.

  • Cover letter addressing your qualifications;

  • Curriculum vitae;

  • Copy of the transcript;

  • One of the English proficiency test scores, including, but not limited to, CET, TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, Duolingo, Linguaskill, etc.
