Speaker: Prof. Dali YAO (Senior Professor of Humanities and Professor at the Center for Historical Geography, Fudan University) 

Abstract: Over the past two to three decades, interdisciplinary research in Chinese history, archaeology, historical linguistics, molecular genetics, and ethnology has led to numerous new insights into the origins of Chinese civilization, as well as the formation and development of a multiethnic unified state within China's traditional territorial framework.

近二三十年来，随着中国史与考古学、历史语言学、分子遗传学、民族学理论与方法诸领域间跨学科研究的展开，我们在汉文明起源、多民族统一国家如何在传统中国疆域框架内形成与发育的问题上，已经产生了不少很值得进一步讨论的新认识。本报告拟围绕上述两个互有关联的主题展开。

1.本次讲座计入形势与政策大讲堂，形势与政策系列讲座是必修课程，学生须完成该课程方能毕业。本课程要求学生在首两年里参加10场讲座，达到要求，成绩记为“S”（Satisfactory），没有达到要求，成绩记为“U”（Unsatisfactory）。本课程成绩不计入GPA绩点。
