SMP aims to provide mentoring relationships for new faculty members at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor levels, fostering professional development during their first year at UIC. This program offers a unique opportunity for both mentors and mentees to build meaningful relationships, share experiences, and enhance their professional growth.

We are excited to host three Staff Mentoring Workshops during lunchtime this semester. Lunch will be provided:

1. Workshop 1: Building an Effective Mentoring Relationship: Understanding Needs and Networks

2. Workshop 2: Developing Reflective Teaching Practice: A Framework for Professional Growth

l Date & Time: 11:50 am -- 12:50 pm, 19 March 2025 (Wed)

3. Workshop 3: Brewing Reflective Practice: Sharing Insights from Our Teaching

l Date & Time: 12:00 pm -- 1:35 pm, 30 April 2025 (Wed)

l Special Venue: February Coffee House, Huitong Village (会同村二月咖啡)

Please note that workshop dates may be subject to change based on participants’ availability.

Participants who complete the workshop requirements will receive certificates. Stay tuned for further details and registration information in future communications.
