SCC AI Literacy Seminars are to be held every Friday noon starting from 22 Nov 2024. The third Seminar on 8 Nov will be hosted by Dr William (Bill) AITCHISON, from Department of Film, Television and New Media, who will lead discussion and sharing on the topic: "Don't Be Pipe Man: Ownership and Originality for Artists and Performers in the age of AI"

About Dr William (Bill) AITCHISON

Dr Bill Aitchison works as a performer, theatre director and inter-disciplinary artist presenting shows in galleries, museums, theatres and festivals in Europe, Asia, America, Australia and The Middle East. He has worked within many contexts such as British Live Art, New York downtown theatre, Postdramatic theater, Conceptual dance and Chinese performance art, to name but some. He is curator and mentor of Last Minute Live Art a platform for contemporary Chinese performance founded in 2018. His artworks are held in both private and museum collections and he has held several larger scale solo exhibitions. He holds a BA from the University of Wolverhampton, an MA from Middlesex University and a practice-as-research PhD in Drama from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Furthermore, he trained three years in movement for theatre at Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique.
