SMP is designed to provide mentoring relationships for new academic staff at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor ranks, with the goal of fostering professional development during their first teaching year at UIC. This initiative presents an exceptional opportunity for both mentees and mentors to establish meaningful relationships, exchange experiences, and advance your professional development.
Furthermore, three Staff Mentoring Workshops are scheduled to provide you with valuable insights into creating engaging English-Medium Instruction (EMI) classrooms and fostering effective mentoring relationships:
Workshop 1: Cultivating Mentoring Relationships: Aligning Expectations

Please note that both mentors and mentees need to participate in the workshops together. Before registering, please communicate with your partner to ensure that he/she will also register.
