Stay Hungry: Meal with Your Professor 取贤于师,共享食光! 快和教授约饭吧!

The Meal-with-Your-Professor program (MYP), co-organized by the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) & Students Affairs Office (SAO), will be launched during the Reading Week from 24 Oct (Monday) to 28 Oct (Friday), 2022.

The purpose of the MYP program is to provide students opportunities to have a conversation with professor over the meal/coffee time. Students could take advantage of this program to discuss possible career options and research opportunities, and/or seek general academic and life advice!

Guidelines:

1. One (1) to three (3) students can invite one (1) professor (i.e., at the rank of Chair Professor, Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer) to meal/have coffee with them at the following campus locations: Faculty Club (贤贤居) and CHIAS Coffee (文创咖啡馆) between 24 -28 Oct 2022. Students are responsible for inviting a professor and informing him/her about the meeting time and place.

2. The CTL will reimburse the meal expenses (A maximum of RMB 50 per person per gathering) for the student who pays for the meals. The reimbursement is subject to the evidence, including but not limited to the copy of the meal receipt and a group photo with all participating students and the invited professor during the meal. Each student could be reimbursed ONCE during the MYP period. Only meal payment for the MYP program occurred between 24-28 Oct will be accepted and processed.

3. It is suggested that one student representative pays for the meals for the group and get the reimbursement later. The student who pays for the meals could enter WeCom or log in UIC Portal via PC terminal (highly recommended) to apply for the reimbursement no later than 2 Nov (Wed), 2022 (Click Here for detailed instructions).
