In order to promote teaching excellence at UIC and nominate outstanding teachers for the 3^rd National and Guangdong Innovative Teaching Contest (第三届全国高校教师教学创新大赛广东分赛暨广东省高校教师教学创新大赛), we are pleased to announce that the 3^rd BNU-HKBU United International College Innovative Teaching Contest will be lauched from 15 July to mid-November, 2022 (see attachment 1).

Three distinct categories for the contest are created: a. Professor, b. Associate Professor, and c. Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer. The rubrics are the same with ones used for the 2^nd Guangdong Provincial Contest (see appendix 3 in  attachment 1).

The application materials include：

1. The application form (申报书, appendix 1 in attachment 1)

2. Teaching Innovation Report (length: 4000 words, including abstract and main text) (教学创新成果报告, 含摘要、正文不超过4000字)

3. Supporting materials (支撑材料) (see appendix 2 in attachment 1)

4. One individual one-teaching-hour class video recording (see appendix 4 in attachment 1)

Application:

1. Non-native Mandarin-speaking participants are highly encouraged to submit the applications in English at the university-wide Contest. Participants are responsible to translate the application materials into Chinese when they are nominated to participate in the provincial contest.

2. Please pack application materials into a zipped file titled “ 3^rd UIC Innovative Teaching Contest + Teacher’s Name” (Example: 3^rd UIC Innovative Teaching Contest_Arie Jin) and send to ctl@uic.edu.cn by November 14, 2022 (Monday).

3. Please carefully read the contest guidelines (attachment 1) and Q&A (attachment 2) for more detailed information.

Awards:

1. Award certificates and cash prize will be provided for Grand Prize, First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, and Honorable Mention.

2. Outstanding participants will be recommended to participate in the contest at the provincial level.
