2026 BNBU Teaching Contest 北师香港浸会大学教师教学大赛

To promote teaching excellence at Beijing Normal - Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU), the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is pleased to launch the 2026 BNBU Teaching Contest. This institution-wide initiative aims to uphold the spirit of “Fostering Virtue and Cultivating Talents”, promote teaching innovation, support the development of teachers, and build a high-caliber teaching community. Awardees will receive monetary awards in recognition of their outstanding performance

Contest Groups and Eligibility

The 2026 BNBU Teaching Contest is open to all full-time faculty members, and consists of the following two groups:

Teaching Innovation Group

The lead instructor must have taught the participating undergraduate course for at least two times within the past five years;
Participants may enter as individuals or as teams.

Young Teacher Group

The lead instructor must be under the age of 40 (born after August 31st, 1985);
Permits individual participation only.

Key Dates

Pre-registration: Participants are required to submit their pre-registration information (Group Category + Course Name) to ctl@bnbu.edu.cn by 5:00 pm on 29 December 2025 (Mon),
Final Submission Deadline:5:00 pm, 12 January 2026 (Mon)
On-site Presentation (tentative): 21 January 2026 (Wed)

At the end of workshop series, participants will be able to:

Describe the HKBU Graduate Attributes and their importance in the OBTL implementation;
Develop constructively aligned Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs), Teaching and Learning Activities (TLAs) and Assessment Methods (AMs) for their respective courses;
Experiment with new and innovative teaching activities through the deployment of eLearning.
