Seeking the New Path for AI-Embedded Education: Insights from Tencent for UIC's AI Curriculum Reform

As humanity strides into the era of artificial intelligence (AI), the field of education is undergoing a profound transformation. To address these emerging trends, UIC has integrated its liberal arts philosophy and international characteristics to initiate a reform in AI curriculum. To drive this initiative, the "Research Group for Integrating AI into the Curriculum" was established, led by Prof. Yu Huang, Associate Vice President (Teaching and Learning) and Dean of the Graduate School, alongside Dr. Vivien Wai Wan Chan, Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Recently, the research group has conducted an an in-depth series of studies on AI technology companies. The first visit was to Shenzhen Tencent Headquarters. As a leading technology company in China, Tencent has launched a range of products and technologies in the AI and education sectors, including intelligent education solutions and large-scale AI education models, etc. These innovations span multiple aspects of education, from teaching and assessment to management and evaluation, aiming to enhance the intelligence and personalization of education.
