Stay Hungry: Meal with Your Professor 取贤于师,共享食光! 快和教授约饭吧!

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Meal-with-Your-Professor program (MYP), co-organized by the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the Student Affairs Office (SAO). This program will run from 14 April (Monday) to 25 April (Friday) 2025 (two weeks of meaningful interactions!). Check out the attached poster for all the fun details.

The MYP program provides you with a unique opportunity to engage with the teachers over a meal or coffee. You can use this time to discuss career options, research opportunities, or seek academic and personal advice.

Here’s how it works:

Gather 1–3 classmates, invite one teaching faculty (lecturer rank or above) to enjoy a relaxed meal or coffee chat together at one of our cozy campus spots: Faculty Club(贤贤居), CHIAS Coffee(文创咖啡馆), or For You (浮屿).

A few friendly reminders:

1. Warm Invitations

Students coordinate the invitation and confirm the time/location with the invitee. Let your invitee know they’re in for a treat—literally!

2. Reimbursement Process

  1. CTL will reimburse meal costs (up to RMB 50 per person) for the student who pays.

  2. Keep your receipt and snap a group photo with your professor during the meal—these are needed for reimbursement.

  3. Each student can claim reimbursement ONCE during the MYP period (14–25 April 2025)

  4. Approved reimbursements will be announced via email. Collect your reimbursement between 12–16 May 2025 at SAO office during office hours.

3. How to Apply

  1. The student who pays should submit a reimbursement request via WeCom or the BNBU Portal (PC recommended) by 29 April 2025 (Tue). Late submissions won’t be accepted.

  2. Detailed instructions are in Attachment 2—super easy!

4. Tips

  1. Please keep an eye on your belongings during the event.

  2. Smile for the camera! Photos may be used for CTL promotions (all non-profit, of course!).

  3. If you have food allergies, let your group know in advance—safety first!
