SMP is designed to provide mentoring relationships for new academic staff at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor ranks, with the goal of fostering professional development during their first teaching year at UIC. This initiative presents an exceptional opportunity for both mentees and mentors to establish meaningful relationships, exchange experiences, and advance your professional development. Furthermore, two Staff Mentoring Workshops are scheduled to provide you with valuable insights and opportunities for mutual learning and harnessing your character strengths for professional growth:

Staff Mentoring Workshop 3: Creating an Equitable English-Medium Instruction (EMI) Environment
