Abstract:

This guest lecture presents an innovative teaching approach that incorporates AI and digital escape rooms to enhance the learning experience across several disciplines, such as education, computer science, linguistics, business, and architecture. The session introduces using H5P and Moodle to create digital escape rooms, which serve as interactive and engaging learning activities for students. Moreover, the lecture demonstrates an AI tool that can automatically generate H5P activities, thus supporting effective instructional design. Through this innovative approach, teachers can create immersive and personalized learning experiences for students, thereby improving their engagement and academic performance. This innovative approach has received the Advance HE Global Impact and has been reported in the EDUCAUSE 2023 Horizon Report for Learning and Teaching edition.
